A Wild North Depends on More Moose

Their future depends on us

Moose are living symbols of the North — powerful, resilient, and deeply woven into culture and ecology.

But this iconic species is in crisis. Increasing temperatures are fueling parasites and disease. Habitat loss is shrinking safe havens. In just two decades, northeastern Minnesota’s moose population has fallen by about 60%.

Without swift action, future generations may never hear a moose’s call echo across northeastern Minnesota or feel the wonder of spotting one in the wild.
